In only a free weeks the World Bodypainting Festival is expanding with a vibrant and dedicated team in South Korea to host a second event...

The World Bodypainting Festival with the Asian Awards will be held in the World Cup Stadium, in ‘Colorful Daegu’ from 25 - 31 August 2008 for the first time. Much of what people know from the main event in Austria will be carried on in South Korea.

Asian Bodypainting Award, the international contest for bodypainting artists
At the Asian Championships during the main days artists from many countries worldwide are allowed to compete.

The contest awards 3 main categories

• Brush/Sponge
• Airbrush and
• Special effects

Additionally there will be semi-professional contests in the categories

• Brush/Sponge
• Airbrush

The themes 2008 are:

• "Myths and Fairy Tales" and
• "Future World" on the final day.

Asian Facepainting Award und Special Effects Make up
There are two different categories, the classic facepainting part and a special effects make up category.
